This book carries profound wisdom like a summer breeze drifted through the window of my heart.
I became mesmerized by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche due to an accidental browse of his talk at Yale University on YouTube almost three years ago, and I’ve been grateful for this random serendipity ever since.
He is a bit like Richard Feynman in Physics, the one who seems to enjoy doing things away from his title or “profession” defines him as remotely as he could possibly be, yet somehow he can magically connect all the remote dots in an elegant, witty and funny way.
Reading Living is Dying is not only nourishing and it’s guaranteed to make you crack once every a few pages. He is the kind of Rinpoche who knows about CoCo channel, Mason tea, as well as the truth of life and death.
PS. I ordered this book for my birthday in 2020, despite I am considered “Young”, I think this is a perfect book to read, as a reminder to reverence life in this special year. I really want to mention one more BONUS surprise: I don’t know if it is by design, but the cover of the book has a trace of a pleasant Indian Qi-nan sandalwood-like fragrance.
