Reflecting on the compilation of my sketchnotes from 2021 to 2023 feels truly magical. Most of the time I don’t really feel any evident progress, and I often draw slowly.
However, comparing all three together, I’m quite happy about the subtle evolution in my sketchnoting skills.
1. 2021 Year Review + 2022 Planning #
I started to realize that there’s no need to come up with new resolutions every year, I’d rather have a seed list, and each year I would like to nurture the seeds and hopefully they can grow and bloom in one day.
2. 2022 Year Review #
Continue the theme of the Seed list, I added extra components because I got married this year! I also captured our Hawaii trip as the “Adventure” section and listed the highlight moments from each month.
3. 2023 Year Review #
This year I switched to digital sketchnote, and I created the below note using iPad + apple pencil + app FreeForm.
I also removed the “Hobby” section since my hobbies haven’t changed much since 2022.
In the above note, the “Moments” section is my YouTube video! This is the first year I started my YouTube channel. So instead of writing my highlight moments, I decided to show them in video format!
