Some species of dreams are so exotic that most people have only heard of them in stories.
A few have attempted to grow them. Fewer have succeeded. And usually, they are not people you know personally.
It’s been told that they take extreme effort, skills, time, and a blessed kiss from luck.
They also tend to have expansive root systems, meaning they can take a lot of nutrients from the soil and you’d need to give up the idea of having a neat, blooming garden ready by the summer tea party.
Some dreams are trendy.
Everyone is talking about them. You can get lots of information from forums, tutorials, and ten-step guides since lots of other people are tending similar kinds.
But sometimes, when you wake up in the middle of the night, you may sigh and wonder:
Did I plant this because I liked it, or because it seems that other people are all doing it?
Turns out, other people wonder that too. Though they usually don’t write that part in the forums or ten-step guides.
Some dreams are peculiar, quirky, and strange.
You may have encountered them when you were a kid. Some adults have them too. They jokingly call them avant-garde. But that can’t be true, because these dreams feel so familiar, something you’ve known your whole life.
You may have forgotten them for a long time. But once in a while, perhaps at the very moment you are wondering whether you have been tending someone else’s dreams, you remember them and think:
What if I tended those ones?
I know they do not have the prettiest colors or the most impressive petals. They are not even photogenic.
But they have a special fragrance, one that lingers for a long, long time~
And if you touch them, they give you a pleasant, invigorating tingling sensation. You feel a warmth rising in your heart.
Today is May 7th.
And I think I may just do that.
I may begin tending those ones (.❛ ᴗ ❛.)
